The GoSun Fusion is the result of about five years of innovation, design, testing and refinements. There is nothing else like it, anywhere. We are proud of this invention and we look forward to hearing about your cooking adventures. Cooking off-grid over electricity used to involve a generator or car battery with the vehicle constantly running. Now, with the Fusion, off-grid meals have never been easier.
If you're having trouble with your legs collapsing, we suggest adding some oil to the silicone seal on the Cooking Tray and at the mouth of the oven. This little bit of lubrication will enable the Tray to slide without so much push or pull; it is also advisable to keep one hand on the Fusion when pulling or pushing the Tray.

Logistics
Many of you have received your Fusion and many more will be shipping in the next week or so. In short, there's much more logistics involved when shipping electronics, so the PowerBank and Solar Panel went through more governmental scrutiny, thus delays. International backers should expect further delays and updates directly about your delivery in September. We are continually pressing all partners to get you the Fusion safely and quickly.
Support
Some recipients had issues with the legs being loose and folding in easily. This is addressed with a simple adjustment as shown, allowing you to set the tension as desired.

GoSun Fusion How To:
The Following is Script from Video: We did it! All of you that kept the solar dream alive, you helped create the GoSun Fusion, a hybrid solar and electric oven that goes anywhere and cooks delicious meals for five, day or night.
At just 14 pounds it can be carried in one hand. The silicone dampener provides impeccable durability for the vacuum tube oven, GoSun’s breakthrough that allows solar cooking in the harshest conditions.
If the sun is nowhere to be found, the cooking continues within the three liter stainless steel tray thanks to a 150 watt electric heating element. It can be powered by the world’s most common port, 12V cigarette plugs found in every car, boat and RV ever made or GoSun’s optional PowerBank that holds enough energy to cook a full meal while off-grid.
How to Cook:
PLEASE READ USER’S MANUAL BEFORE USING THE FUSION
To get cooking, place the Fusion on a flat, level surface. Pull the legs out from their seated position and remove the closure straps. The reflectors will triple the sunlight absorbed, and they are locked open
The GoSun Dial will ensure you’re catching the most sunshine, by transferring the sun’s glare onto the target below. The Fusion is tilted with two hands pressing down on the end caps and angled by rotating on its scratch proof feet.
When the sun is gone, you can switch to cooking on electricity by simply plugging the Powercord into the cooking tray, then into a 12V power source and flipping it on. The 150 watt heating element pulls about 12 amps, which is one tenth of the power of other electric ovens.
Optional Accessories:
The optional Powerbank becomes a source of energy to run the Fusion at night, and it’s capable of charging a cell phone about ten times. The Powerbank can be charged by the 30 watt folding solar panel in one day’s worth of sunshine.
The GoSun Thermo temperature gauge come with an App that reports temperature immediately on screen and back to your phone. Receive an alert to your phone when your food is ready at your pre-selected temperature.
Finally, when you’re ready to move, the Fusion plus all your accessories and ingredients fit into the padded Carrying Case for added protection.
Cooking Tips:
Before your first use, we recommend a small dab of cooking oil to be wiped across the red silicone seal to help smooth the seal with the glass vacuum tube. It helps to line the tray with parchment paper, especially if you’re planning to cook with electricity. If your tray has trouble sliding, a simple squeeze or pinch does the job.
The Powercord is compatible with the GoSun Chill, a solar powered cooler. Being highly portable, it’s designed to stay connected through lots of action, so you’ll find the plug is tight, requiring two hands to engage. When using the electric heater, it applies heat a little slower than when under full sunlight and beneath your food so you may want to stir the meal a few times.
To clean the Fusion, we recommend glass cleaner on the outside and once the inside has cooled down, soap and water with a mild scrubbing tool. Be sure the cooking tray is dry before storing, and it helps to hold onto the foam insert placed at the end of the tray when traveling.
Cooking with GoSun is somewhere between a Crock Pot and an oven. Food cooks in its own juices, a bit like steaming, and at a pace that is similar to an oven set to 350°F (175°C). You don’t need to pre-heat the Fusion, so it will take a little extra time to ramp up. Once the dish is cooking, the heat captured is held inside so you’re able to keep food hot and juicy for hours.
As the Chinese have known for centuries, it helps to cut food into smaller chunks to give the heat more surface area. If you’re roasting meats, you may want to empty the liquid that builds up, so the meat will brown better. A meat probe thermometer like the GoSun Thermo is always advisable.
Roasting a bunch of root veggies is a good meal to start with. We use the GoSun all the time for egg dishes and baking quick breads. Again, there’s a thousand recipe ideas to be found online.

Thanks Again for Supporting GoSun's Innovation. Despite hurdles with governmental bureaucracy, we are still planning on delivery in August, with some packages in early September (details below). We will do everything in our power to ensure you're happy with the final product. The Fusion is amazing, we are proud to release it and very grateful that you will be the first to put it to the test.
This update and the next to follow are all about preparing you for receiving the Fusion. The next update will be sent in mid August to help you familiarize with how to use the Fusion and get the most from your breakthrough product. Topics to be covered will be: set-up, optimization, electric vs solar mode, recipe recommendations, storage, etc.
